Google’s May 2026 Search Central guide states that generative AI features on Google Search are rooted in core ranking and quality systems. For Google Search you can ignore llms.txt and other “special” AI markup — Google Search does not use them. Foundational SEO and unique, citable content still apply.
You also cannot manufacture authority from this site alone. Citation-oriented systems often prefer independent references. Genuine third-party mentions — docs, press, papers, forums that you did not astroturf — matter more than another OmniKit page saying OmniKit is useful. Google’s same guide says inauthentic “mentions” are not a useful tactic.
