On OmniKit’s Word + Readability Counter, reading time is max(1, ceil(words ÷ 200)) when the paste is not empty. A 50-word paste shows 1 minute. A 201-word paste shows 2 minutes. Empty pastes show 0 minutes.

Grade uses 0.39 × words/sentences + 11.8 × syllables/words − 15.59. Reading ease uses 206.835 − 1.015 × words/sentences − 84.6 × syllables/words. OmniKit rounds to one decimal. Empty pastes show a dash, not a fake zero grade.
Formulas follow the standard Flesch–Kincaid pair as implemented in OmniKit readability.ts. Syllables are a vowel-group heuristic, checked 3 September 2026.
OmniKit divides word count by 200 and rounds up. A 50-word paste still shows one minute. Other sites pick 180 or 250. State the constant if you quote the number in a brief.
